melbourne cup day

Put $10 at the TAB on Vinni Roe cos i heard some guy on 5AA saying that it was a good horse. I ignored KGs comments about it being quite heavy. It was worth $8.60 so i thought it must be a good bet being second fave or something.

Went in three sweeps, the $5 one and got Miss Meliss, the $2 one and got something thong or other and the $1 on and got Beekeeper. Beekeeper came 3rd so i won $4 which makes a total loss of $14. The general manager won the $5 sweep. Where is the justice in that? He earns the most money at the company. He also knows about as much about horses and trainers as i know about the crows. hmm.
