Researching on the internet is tough
Its like everywhere you search someone is dangling a carrot. You find these
pages that seem to be exactly what you are looking for and they either tell you
to buy a book or they are in pdf format. At this point in time I don't think
there is anything more annoying than a pdf document.
The whole scenario brings back memories of searching on medline at the barr
smith library. You find an abstract that looks very relevant, then you search
for the journal on the library database and you find the one you are after, it
says it is avaliable, then you go down a few flights of stairs and venture into
cold dim areas that look similar to buffalo bill's den. It smells like it too.
Did anyone else think that? When you get there the journal isn't there, yet the
ones that have no relevance to your cause are everywhere to be found.
Oh my god memories of the barr smith library. I didn't realise it at the time
but I think I've just discovered that I had a massive aversion to that place.
Everything about it sucked?lining up for photocopiers and those damn copy cards,
swat vac.
Anyway note to maja: you are a heroine not a heroin?..If ya ge wot ah mein ;)
