I was thinking that i'd like to get an email everyday that tells me a few interesting facts about life and why. Primarily scientific facts.

"Why does water not calm the tongue after eating hot spicy food?
The spices in most of the hot foods that we eat are oily, and, like your elementary school science teacher taught you, oil and water don't mix. In this case, the water just rolls over the oily spices.

I mean that's the shit, isn't it?... unfortunately this site offers only about 10 of those and doesn't email them to you daily... there are plenty of sites that email you a fact with no explanation, for example i've seen a lot of this "Apples are more effective at waking you up in the morning than caffeine". The first thing i want to do when i read that is know why...instead the email just lists another random fact.

I cant tell you how frustrating a fact without an explanation is to me....after i read it, i had to know why? cos personally i cant see why an apple would be more effective...and after researching the topic i can safely say that i think it's bullshit.

ok this could be a bit geeky but i dont know when i was a little kid i used to study the atlas and read the encyclopedia and for some reason i thought it was fun....i only wish i remembered it all.
