foos girls vs the strokes?

entering the triple j morning show comp to take on fab moretti and nickolai fraiture of the strokes in foosball at the adelaide BDO. Be nice if we won the comp, I'm pretty sure we'd win the game of foos.

It's the tornado garlando phenomenon, being from america i'm sure they only know the tornado, although "Fabrizio Moretti" that name sounds very italian.

More reasons to love weezer

Somewhere between "Hash Pipe" and "Dope Nose" Weezer got hooked. It started during the recording sessions for Maladroit and "it's gotten stupider ever since," to put it in their own words. It has consumed countless hours of their time and has in many ways shaped Weezer into the band they are today. More mellow. More honest. More content.

"I don't know how it happened," says drummer Pat Wilson. "Somehow foosball has just become immensely important to our day."

"We spend hours on the foosball table every day, and we just totally mellow out," singer Rivers Cuomo adds. "We play it very seriously, but there's no, like, negative sense of competition. We just bond over the foosball table."

snippets of an old brunatex interview

How do you think the GST will affect the band?
Fiona: Ask Jon.
Tanya: We haven’t actually got an ABN yet.
Fiona: Jon was a big supporter of the GST at election time. Jon voted Liberal.
Jon (waking from his slumber): Huh? Hey? Oh, come on!

(Much merriment ensues.)

Fiona: We haven’t got a band one.
Jon: We’ll give them a fake number. We’ll call ourselves Boonatex…
Simon: Boonie!
Tanya: …And say we’re just doing it as a hobby…
Jon: …And we’ll be right.
Tanya: Apparently you can claim it [playing gigs] as a hobby.
Fiona (to Simon): Have you got an ABN?
Simon: An A…B…N?
Fiona: Australian Business Number.
Simon: I’ve got an ACN.
Jon: We’ll change the name for a night.
Fiona: We’ve got to do something about it, but we’re just running late.

After much general ribbing for being silent about your band but more than happy to talk about you favourites like augie march, is there anything you want to add Simon?
Simon (looking flustered): There’s nothing for me to say that’s very important. I’ve got nothing important to say. I don’t know. No, I don’t know. I don’t know.

So there you have it. Without a doubt a band to watch, brunatex second EP cut is in stores now thru. MGM Distribution, and they’ll be touring whenever they scrape together enough cash to a) pay the taxman and b) get their shit in order.

bbq sluts

went to 3 bbqs on saturday
started at rolands who was having his quarter century birthday. Happy Birthday roland! Most people there worked at ratbag and had an english accent. If they had an english accent they were referred to as foreign someone eg there was foreign neil, foreign mike, foriegn robin and another foreign mike. Australian tim was wearing a hello minnesota tshirt - bless him. Anyway taught all the foreigners and australians the game of eros. If we keep spreading the word it may one day be an olypic sport and we may one day win a gold medal for something.

Discussed bbq slutting and the definition is of a bbq slut is a person who goes to more than one bbq and eats a sausage. If you dont eat a sausage then you are just a bbq tart. I believe we all ate a sausage.

Then went to Mike's BBQ and ate a rissole and some asparagus.

Last place we went to was Ben's fancy dress, had to dress as someone dead and sexy. Got home and spent an hour trying to work out what to wear, spent much time trying to dress like bridgette bardot and then when i'm almost ready biggsy tells me she isnt dead. End up going as nobody. Grayte. Got there and everyone is dressed up. The clear winner was Bernie from weekend at Bernies.
