All of a sudden I feel the need to go back on previous posts and omit some things… I’ve never really been into censorship, but now I can understand some of it’s merits.

Anyway I went to see special patrol and speedstar at jive on the weekend and i guess I was more pre-occupied during the speedstar set than I intended to be but that’s a different story. After the show d and I began talking to a guy who was mildly good-looking and he was asking of a good place to go after the gig. We mentioned that supermild was great especially on dj craig night, that you could expect to hear tracks by the beatles, kinks, strokes and even the beach boys! He then replied with, oh my band is fairly influenced by the beach boys so I go ‘oh who is your band?’… he then looks at me with a look of complete disbelief and says ‘are you serious?’… I look at d as if to say am I supposed to know? d is on the verge of pissing herself and the guy says ‘speedstar’.

O rite the band I was watching for the last hour. It aint Wembley arena, the stage was probably 5 meters from me.

So I’m not good at defending myself on the spot like this and take the opportunity to do so now, on the comfort of my blog with 2 days to form a defense. I am somewhat ashamed that I could be so pre-occupied to not even notice what the keyboardist looks like (ie the same instrument I play)…but he was on the left side of the stage, behind a big fuck off set-up that I cant believe he brought all the way from Brisbane (I did notice that). I was on the right. I honestly could not see his head behind it. Secondly I’ve seen speedstar many times before and well the keyboardist is new….ish. So to me, he was the new guy…i mentioned the new guy fact in my leeky defense to the keyboardist, to which he replied ‘I’ve been in the band for 2 years’.

Honestly I give up, I’m contemplating a mute-like approach and hopefully attracting those mildly good-looking types by being perceived as mysterious.
