I remember the day, back in the 80’s when I walked down to the tapley’s deli to discover, much to my disappointment, that streets had discontinued the raspberry splice. Contrary to the mandarin house school of thought ‘we removed fried icecream from the menu because it’s too popular’ one would have to assume that, at the time, the raspberry splice was just not popular enough, despite knowing many people who claim to like the raspberry splice.

This was followed by a string of discontinued iceblocks like razzes, sunnyboys and snips which caused further disappointment to myself and my peers.

I just find it odd… have you EVER met a person who has said the words ‘I like spam (canned ham..nerds)’. In the history of spam I dont believe it’s ever been said, and yet the stuff has lasted for years. Who’s buying it?

What about vanilla coke? Who’s drinking that?
