And you thought your job was important...

As a part of quality, it's standard that you do checks on equipment that control the quality of our products, ;ike scales, thermometres etc..

So we have these little stop clocks that we use to time our tests. Every 6 months i have to check that when you set it for an hour it actually is an hour. This entails ringing up the guy that says "at the third stroke it will be blah blah and blah blah seconds beep beep beep" and setting the timer to go on the third stroke, then ringing him back on the hour to see check that the timer also hits the hour and beeps when the 3rd stroke hits.... it really ghey when you forget and the timer beeps and you've forgotten to ring the strokes guy back. You have to repeat the process.

These clocks have not failed that check since 1994, ie as far as the records date back.

It's true tilda, matchroom is pretty fun and funny. Adrian went all in with a pair of 2's and it beat about 3 others and Eddie yells out "Mate that's what dreams are made of"...

Anyway silly play last night where i just finished reading doyle brunson anecdotes and he tells the story about hearing the line "i know he's got me beat, but i just had to call" to which he responded "oh brother! you dont have to be callin nuthin". Ok that particular line did not read like that, but i cant read his book without hearing a lazy texan accent in my head. Anyway I read that line and i thought yeh i got that covered, i know when to lay down a hand. Then i go home and play in a no limit ring game. I hit trip jacks on the flop with one hook in the hole and an Ace kicker (thats AJ in my hand for all you kids out there). Ok i just had to talk like chad for a minute there cos it's funny. The other flop card was a king. He raised pre-flop and i called along with a few others. He bets after the flop, i raise, everyone gets out and he re-raises. I call.

Honestly what the hell was i doing?...and if that isn't retarded enough... when he checks the turn, i put a small bet in and he re-raises again, i call it and then proceed to call his river bet.

Guess what he turns over? So retarded.

Lost $15 in that pot. Eventually I recovered the money but i learnt a valuable lesson so perhaps it was worth it!
